We’ve Been Busy! See What Daemar Has Been Up to Lately

Spring is a busy time of year for many companies as they begin to thaw out from the winter slow-down. Daemar is no different, and has recently been revving up our participation in local initiatives and national trade events. Below, we’ve provided a brief recap of all the activities we’ve been taking part in.

Doing Our Part to Fight Cancer

Supporting Canadian Cancer Society
Daemar Employees Presenting the Check for the Canadian Cancer Society Halton

One of our employees, Ted Hesketh is a bladder cancer survivor who has been in remission for 18 months. In early March, Ted, along with five coworkers at Daemar shaved their heads in support of the Canadian Cancer Society Halton. Together the team raised more than $1,600 for cancer research.

Design-2-Part Show

From March 25-26, 2015, Daemar was on-site at the Design-2-Part (D2P) Show in the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, GA. These shows bring together hundreds of manufacturers and suppliers to show off their wares and capabilities. Only companies with U.S. facilities are allowed to exhibit at the D2P shows, so participants can be sure that all manufacturers are relatively local and uphold American quality standards.

7th Annual Wind Energy Operations & Maintenance Summit USA

Most recently, from April 14-15, 2015 Daemar takes part in the WEU O&M Summit at the Westin Galleria in Dallas, TX. The event includes a few new features this year, including Excellence Awards, Workshops, Networking opportunities, and more. Hundreds of wind energy leaders will be in attendance, in addition to more than 60 speakers discussing the current state of wind energy technology.

Design Engineering Expo

Daemar will be attending two DEX shows in May. The first one will take place May 5th at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver Theatre in British Columbia. The second will take place May 26th at the Mississauga Convention Centre in Ontario. These events bring together engineers, product developers, machine builders and systems integrators to discuss their ideas and challenges and come up with solutions based on the latest technologies.

Global Petroleum Show

Running from June 9-11, 2015 in Calgary, AB, Canada, the Global Petroleum Show (GPS) promises valuable networking opportunities, tens of thousands of registered attendees from 100 different companies, and the opportunity to exhibit new products and services in the petroleum industry. According the Show’s event overview, 82% of international attendees have sole or joint purchasing power– meaning that you will be able to get in front of the main decision makers you’ve been working to target. A 3-Day exhibition pass is free until June 1st. Interested parties can register for GPS online.
