Daemar’s line of Caplugs Oilfield Thread Protectors was designed with the aim of protecting your threads and flanges while making parts easier to remove. These innovative part designs were developed to eliminate the practice of cutting thread protectors off components and potentially damaging the thread. Standard Duty Well Casing Thread Protectors, Hammer Union Protectors, and Toggle Lock Flange Covers all allow for the easy removal of protectors to ensure that your threads aren’t damaged by removal tools, while saving your crew time in the field. We are also showcasing our Spiral Wound Multiple Turn Wave Springs, which are used to pre-load anchoring devices of downhole tools. Once the tool is actuated, it bites into the casing bore. At this point, a nominal load is applied to heel of the slips to prevent them from de-energizing. While compression springs are typically used, they can easily be replaced with a multiple turn wave spring, crest-to-trough design. This reduces the axial space and allows for a more compact design – which further reduces materials and costs. In addition, wave springs can be made from special alloys, including Inconel and Elgiloy to withstand harsh environments, including high heat and corrosive substances.
