Keystock
Daemar’s Keystock are removable bars that are used to transmit torque from components including couplings, sheaves, sprockets and gears to a shaft.
They are called “keys” because they lock a component to the shaft by means of a corresponding keyway in a shaft.
Keystock is available in both inch and metric sizes. Common keystock materials include steel, stainless steel and plated with zinc and are supplied in standard lengths of 12” & 36″ lengths.

Square Keystock-Zinc
Ranges from 1/16″ square to 2-1/2″ square. 12″ and 36″ available. The material is 1018 carbon steel, Zinc plated.
Square Keystock-Unplated
Ranges from 1/16″ square to 2-1/2″ square. 12″ and 36″ available. The material is 1018 carbon steel, plain finish (un-plated).
Square Keystock-Stainless
Ranges from 1/16″ square to 2-1/2″ square. 12″ and 36″ available. The material is 303 stainless steel, 316 can be provided up request.
Square Keystock-Brass
Ranges from 1/16″ square to 2-1/2″ square. 12″ and 36″ available. The material is brass.
Rectangular Keystock
Ranges from 1/8″ x 3/16″ up to 2″ x 2-1/2″. The material is 1018 carbon steel and is available with either zinc plated or plain finish, stainless and brass can be provided.Available in 12″ and 36″ lengths.
Metric Keystock
Made of high quality zinc plated cold drawn steel. Bars are cut, not sheared. Over tolerances: -.000mm to +.0762mm. Sold in 12 inch and 1 meter lengths
Stepped Keystock
Step keystock is used on couplings, gears, sheaves, sprockets, and pulleys. Type 1 is designed for repair and salvage of damaged shafts. Type 2 is useful when mating mismarked keyways, gears, and shafts.
Undersize Tolerance Barstock
Undersize keystock is used where close or undersize tolerances are required. Ranges from 1/8″ square to 2″ square and also available in rectangular sizes. The material is 1018 carbon steel and is available with either zinc plated or plain finish. Also available in 303 stainless steel.
Machinery Keys
Machinery keys are stocked with both ends square and manufactured from 1018 carbon steel.
Woodruff Keys
Machined from 1035 steel, DMR Woodruff Keys (Half Moon Keys) are available from stock in 50 SAE size. Special sizes and materials suh as alloy steel (A-3630) are available on special order from the factory.
Gib Head Keys
Used for holding pulleys and gears tightly on the shaft. They are tapered 1/8″ per foot to fit snugly on the shaft are machined from 1018 steel.
Spring Pin Kits
2 sizes of spring pin assortment kits, the DMR SP1 kit contains 10 each of 12 sizes ranging in diameters from 1/16″ to 1/8″ and lengths from 1/4″ up to 1-1/2″. The DMR SP2 kit contains 10 each of 12 sizes ranging in diameters from 5/32″ to 3/8″ and lengths from 1″ up to 1-3/4″.
