2013 marks Daemar’s 40th year in business.
1973 – Cartec Formed
January 1, 1973 commenced business as Cartec in Oakville, ON. Products included: Waldes Retaining Rings, Seeger Metric Rings and Devan Keysteel.
1976 – New Product Lines Added
Product line was expanded to include Cleveland Hardware, KMC Stampings and Standard Steel Specialties.
1977 – O-Ring Line
The Fluid Sealing line up is established with the addition of O-Rings to the product mix.
1979 – Oil Seal Line
The Fluid Sealing line up is expanded with the addition of the GACO oil seal line.
1980 – Expand to Edmonton
Expansion into western Canada with the opening of a sales and warehouse facility in Edmonton, AB.
1984 – Daemar
Name changed to Daemar – Distribution Engineering Marketing
Increase ability to service western Canadian customers with the opening of the Richmond, B.C. branch.
1986 – Kalrez and Rotor Clip
Appointed Kalrez Distributor for Canada
Expand into Quebec with the opening of a Montreal sales and warehouse facility.
Sign on as a Rotor Clip Distributor for Canada
1987 – Mechanical Seals
Mechanical Seals were introduced to the Fluid Sealing product line.
1989 – Caplugs Master Distributor
Named Caplugs Rep and Master Distributor for Canada.
1990 – JM Clipper Distributor
Named an authorized distributor for JM Clipper seals and Protech Bearing Isolators.
1996 – Website Launches
www.daemar.com officially launches.
1997 – Dryslide Bushings
The line of DMR Dryslide bushings, flanged bushings and thrust washers is added to the product mix.
1998 – ISO Registered
Daemar receives its ISO-9002:1994 registered designation.
2000 – Daemar Inc. U.S.A. Opens
Daemar opens a sales office and warehouse facility in Georgia.
2007 – Expansion of Daemar’s Edmonton Facility
To meet with the ever growing market demand in Western Canada Daemar doubled the size of the Edmonton office and warehouse.
2010 – Online Catalog Launched
2012 – Added Disc Springs to Product Line
2013 – Celebrate 40 years in Business
