Dans le cas d&#8217;une application de joint pour mouvement alternatif \u00e0 longue course, cette torsion peut tendre et, finalement, d\u00e9chirer le caoutchouc, entra\u00eenant une d\u00e9faillance appel\u00e9e vrillage.<br \/>\nPour pr\u00e9venir le vrillage, la configuration \u00e0 quatre lobes du joint Quad-Ring est con\u00e7ue pour r\u00e9sister \u00e0 la distorsion et \u00e0 l&#8217;extrusion souvent provoqu\u00e9es par une pression \u00e9lev\u00e9e ou par une pression pulsatoire. Pour r\u00e9sister \u00e0 ces forces, le joint Quad-Ring utilise une rainure plus \u00e9troite que celle pr\u00e9vue pour un joint torique comparable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rhcol span4\">\n<h3>Pas de ligne de joint sur la surface d&#8217;\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9<\/h3>\n<p>\u00c0 la diff\u00e9rence des joints toriques, sur les joints Quad-Ring\u00ae, les lignes de joint se trouvent entre les lobes plut\u00f4t que sur la surface d&#8217;\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9. Cette conception supprime les probl\u00e8mes de fuites attribuables \u00e0 la surface irr\u00e9guli\u00e8re de la ligne de joint.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rhcol span4\">\n<h3>Dur\u00e9e de vie accrue<\/h3>\n<p>Puisqu&#8217;une pression inf\u00e9rieure signifie moins de friction avec la conception \u00e0 quatre lobes, les joints durent plus longtemps.
